Dear Members,
We announce the resignation of Helen Ward from the Plett Ratepayers’ Executive Committee (EXCO) with both gratitude and regret. Helen, a principal of Helen Melon Properties, has decided to stand as a candidate in the upcoming Local Government election.
During her time on the Executive Committee, Helen made a significant contribution to the Plett Ratepayers’ Association. Her strong business acumen, appreciation of sound financial management, understanding of the role of local government, and belief that public funds should be used for the benefit of the community have been invaluable. She has consistently demonstrated high ethical standards in all her endeavours—qualities that are greatly needed in local government.
We commend Helen for her willingness to serve the community by standing for election and wish her every success in her candidacy, and we look forward to a more open and responsive relationship with council.
At the same time, we invite interested members of the community to consider joining the Executive Committee of the Plett Ratepayers’ Association. If you would like to become involved, please contact us.
Kind regards,
Tony Blignaut
Plett Ratepayers' & Residents' Association
